Fisher Container Cleanroom packaging films are not formulated to contain latex, animal derived ingredients or the other items mentioned: asbestos; fluorocarbon release agents; silicone; melamine; heavy metals -Heavy Metals EU Directive 2002/95/EC (a reading of less than .0013 mg / liter zinc showed in our leachable / extractable testing). Any incidental levels of cadmium, beryllium, lead, mercury or hexavalent chromium would be in concentrations less than 300 parts per billion. The sum of the concentrations do not exceed 100 parts per million by weight. These levels are below the levels established by CONEG and REACH EC1907/2006. Furthermore, there are no environmentally sensitive materials involved in the composition such as polybromated biphenyl, or dipheynyl ether; PCB, PCT or dioxins. All Fisher packaging films meet RoHS requirements under 2011/65/EU

Fisher Container packaging films are tested for purity through an outside service performing leachable / extractable testing per EPA 6010B and out gassing analysis per EPA 8260. Our resins meet FDA 21 CFR for packaging films and the equivalent EU directives 2002/72/EC; Commission Regulation 10/2011 for direct food contact; amendment 2004/19/EC & EU 94/62; EU Directive 2002/96/EC recyclability requirements and monograph EP 3.2.2 regarding minimum additives, leachables and safety. EU Directive 76/769/EEC pertains to brominated fire retardants that do not apply; EP 3.1.3 monograph nor 2006/122/EC pertaining to perflouro additives or 2004/1/EC pertaining to azodicarbonamide blowing agents. EU Directive 2000/53/EC pertaining to lead and lead alloy solder used in electronics, which must be specified.

In addition, Fisher Container packaging films are free of substances of very high concern (SVHC) as listed on the current website of the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) as specifically diethylhexylphthalate (DEHP) and also free of bisphenol A (BPA).

It is always recommended that the customer thoroughly test the compatibility of the resin for their specific application when concerned with such topics as films are tested in accordance with FDA directives similar to matching requirements of the EU directives.
